Obituary for Yvonne Broussard Teeter
Yvonne Broussard Teeter died on November 11th, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family. Born June 2nd, 1925 she was a native of Abbeville, Louisiana and a resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November, 21st from 10:00 AM until service time at University United Methodist Church. A Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 AM with burial following at Green Oaks Cemetery.
She is survived by her son, Randy Teeter (Margaret); daughter Fran Flory (Ken); grandchildren Ashley T. Foret (Justin), Michelle T. Folse (Kevin), Lindsay Flory, Nick Flory, Mandy F. Avie and Adam Flory; great grandchildren, Olivia Foret, Caroline Foret, Aubrey Folse and Emersyn Folse; sister Dixie Saucier.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ransom Alexander “Pete” Teeter, Jr.; parents, Lloyd P. Broussard and Martha Fisk Broussard; brother George Broussard.
She attended LSU, majoring in Chemistry and Physics, as one of the few women in that curriculum, during that time. She was an avid bridge enthusiast, playing as often as possible. She was an original member of the Volunteers of America Women’s Auxiliary. She served as a Docent at Magnolia Mound Plantation. She was a member of University United
Methodist Church for over 60 years and ran the church library. She was a member of Pi Beta Phi Sorority and maintained a close relationship with the “Tarnished Arrows”.
The family would like to thank Eloyace “Shun” Scott, her “army of angels” and Audubon Hospice, especially Sidney Overton for their loving care.
