Vanessa Plaisance Baudoin, age 64, a native and resident of Houma, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 7, 2019, surrounded by her loving family at Terrebonne General Hospital. She was the beloved wife Ronald Paul Baudoin; loving mother of Shara Baudoin and Derrek J. Baudoin, wife, Sarah Simpson-Baudoin; grandmother of Isadora (Izzy), Charlotte (Charlie), and Vera (ViVi); sister of Dr. Judy Plaisance, Lozia Richard, Mildred (Millie) Descant and husband, Wayne, and M. J. Plaisance and wife, Dawn; and sister-in-law of Tina M. Baudoin; daughter of the late Norman and Mildred Boudreaux Plaisance; daughter-in-law of Raywood A. Baudoin, and the late Marie A. Baudoin; and aunt of Rachel Trosclair, Joshua Richard, Michelle Peek, Christopher Descant, Michael Plaisance, Dominic Plaisance, Robert Pardee and Stephen Pardee. Also survived by five great-nieces; two great-nephews; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 25, at St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church, 1005 Williams Ave. in Houma, followed by interment at Holy Rosary Cemetery in Houma. Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. at St. Gregory Bargarigo Catholic Church. The Baudoin family would like to invite all guests for refreshment at the St. Gregory KC Home immediately following the Mass and Interment.
