Obituary for Rudy John Naquin
Rudy John Naquin, 67, met his heavenly father on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at 9:45 PM. Rudy was born and raised on the Naquin Settlement (est. - 1785). Rudy was the 8th generation, the 9th and 10th generation currently remain on the Naquin Settlement.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2022 from 9:00 AM until service time at Saint John the Evangelist Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 AM at the church with burial following in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Sue Naquin; sons, Cody Naquin, Blake Naquin (Lindsey), Seth Naquin (Madison); daughters, Desiree' Cunningham, Ciara Stegall (Clint); grandchildren, Sawyer Stegall, Nora Stegall Rowen Stegall, Kielen Naquin, Kinley Naquin; sisters, Brenda N. Barthelemy (Darryl) , Barbara N. Williams (James), and Patricia N. Miller (Martin).
He is preceded in death by his parents, John Roman Naquin and Beatrice Constant Naquin; grandchild, Kristian Naquin; nephew, Jeff Barthelemy.
Rudy was a devout Catholic, he loved his family, the outdoors and his garden. He took great pride in caring for the Naquin Settlement. He spent countless hours restoring and maintaining the main homestead for future generations. His six grandkids were his pride and joy.
Thanks to all who have prayed with us and for us, your prayers are appreciated. God chose to restore and heal Rudy when he brought him home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to M.D. Anderson Cancer Institute.
