Roy Windell Cooper, Sr., died on Friday, November 24, 2023. Born on August 8, 1963 a native and resident of Gray, Louisiana.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Ordoyne Funeral Home.
He is survived by his wife, Tamika Cooper, daugther, LaTonya (Alex) Neville, son Roy Cooper, Jr.; mother Enestine Nells, seven grandchildren Jevon Brown, Karribean Brown, Keye’ Brown, Ka’Addissey Woods, Elijah Neville, Amare Neville, and Kalaye’ Woods; five great-grandchildren; siblings Cassandra Henderson, Dontrell (Demitri) Cooper, Paul Cooper, Quinton Cooper, Tamekia Mart, and Natisha (Raymond) Celestine; devoted friend Kimberly Woods; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his daughter and son-in-law, Roschwan and Karriem Woods; stepfather William Nells, Sr.; sister, LeaKim Cooper; one nephew, Sir Micheal Cooper; grandparents, Helen and Ernest Mart; father, Clifton Howard, Sr.
