Rhonda Dagate Luke, 70, died Friday, October 14, 2022 at 12:27 AM. Born December 1, 1951, she was a native and resident of Houma, Louisiana.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 from 9:00 AM until service time at The Cathedral of Saint Francis de Sales. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 AM at the church with burial following at Saint Francis de Sales Cemetery #2.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Patrick Luke; children, Gregory Luke (Melanie Parish Luke) and Chad Luke (Caroline Duncan Luke); grandchildren, Lillian Luke, William Luke, Mary Frances Luke, Auggie Luke; mother, Maudry Domingue Dagate; brother, Vincent Dagate, Jr. (Sally); sister, Victoria LeBlanc.
She is preceded in death by her father, Vincent Dagate, Sr.
Everything was made more beautiful by Rhonda’s touch. Rhonda was as lovely and as simple as the hundreds of roses she tended. She handled adversity with class, dignity and unrelenting optimism. Her childlike faith drove her to accept others, love unconditionally and give generously. She was a devoted wife and mother, and the grandmother everyone wished they had. She looked for anything held in mutual admiration. It was all she needed to accept and include others and share the same love her large Italian family had given her for a lifetime.
