Obituary for Renee Jenkins Lecompte
C. Renee Jenkins LeCompte, 57, of Lafayette and Houma LA, and resident of Dayton TX, died Tuesday, December 25, 2018.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2019 from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Ordoyne Funeral Home. A memorial service will begin at 5:30 PM at the funeral home.
Renee is survived by parents C.W. and Sandra Johnson of Houma: husband Jammie LeCompte of Dayton TX: two sons, Chase Jenkins of Houston TX, Alex (Heather) Jenkins of Houma; Stepdaughter Morgen (Aaron) Clark of Houma; Stepson Lane LeCompte of Vacherie; granddaughters Zoey and Audrey Jenkins of Houma; brother Carl (Melanie) Johnson of Brookhaven MS; sister Jenny (Mike) Cunningham of Houma; sister-in-law Angela (Ashley) Bray of Amarillo TX; niece Caitlin Johnson and nephews Remington and Daniel Bray.
She is preceded in death by her brother Ashley Bray; grandparents R.C. and Erle Johnson, Ned and Genevieve Dowell, and Cecil Bray.
Renee attended Lafayette High School and graduated HL Bourgeois High School in 1979. Attended USL and Nicholls Universities where she studied English/Journalism and Business Law. She was a former loan office at South LA Bank in Houma. Renee was an animal advocate, working with multiple animal rescue centers and adopting numerous rescue dogs.
