Obituary for Ray James Daigle

Ray James Daigle, 86, died Friday, February 23, 2018 at 8:05 AM. Born, January 11, 1932, he was a native of Baton Rouge and resident of Houma.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 from 8:00 AM until service time at Saint Francis de Sales Cathedral. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 AM with burial following at Saint Francis Cemetery #2. He is survived by his sons, Edward James Daigle and wife Cindy, Lawrence Patrick Daigle and fiancee Mindy Green; daughter, Ann Margaret Danos and husband Jerry; grandchildren, Christina Fanguy and husband Joey, Bryan Daigle and wife Laurie, Sarah Adams and husband Sean, Jason Daigle and wife Lauri, Samantha Lagarde and husband Chris, Lauren Viguerie and husband Adam, James Daigle and wife Abby and Katelyn Daigle and fiance' TJ; 20 great grandchildren; brothers, Carroll "Butch Daigle and wife Josie, John "Leslie" Daigle and wife Alice, Jerome Daigle and wife Carmel, Tommy Daigle and wife Nelva; sisters, Anna Marie Hebert, Carolyn Milsted.  He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marian Bergeron Daigle; parents, Edward and Gertrude "Momie" Daigle; brothers, Edward "Bobby" Daigle, Gerald Daigle; sister, Elizabeth "Chibby" Daigle; brothers in law, Harold "Cos" Begue, Fred Allen Hebert, William Milsted; sisters in law, Virginia Daigle and Marjorie Daigle.  Ray retired from Texaco after 38 years. He was a devout Catholic, a wonderful provider and caregiver and loved by many. He enjoyed fishing but above all else loved spending time with his family and loved ones.  The family would like to thank his caregiver, Barbara Derouch, who was a godsend to the family.  In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Saint Francis de Sales Cathedral: 500 Goode St., Houma, LA 70360 or the Lupus Foundation of America: 2121 K Street NW, Suite 200, Washington, DC 20037-1830 Ordoyne Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
