Nelson "Pop" Joseph Hidalgo, Sr., 71, died Friday, March 25, 2022 at 5:19 PM. Born December 13, 1950, he was a native and resident of Thibodaux, Louisiana.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2022 from 8:00 AM until service time at Ordoyne Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will begin at 10:30 AM at the funeral home with burial following at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Cemetery.
He is survived by his daughter, Tina Hidalgo Guidry; daughter in law, Katie Thibodaux Hidalgo; grandchildren, Lyle Hidalgo (Mandy), Brittany Chatman (Barry), Raeanna Duval (Drew), Victoria Hidalgo; great grandchildren, Jaydon Rodrigue, Riley Hidalgo, Kamryn Chatman, Taylor Hidalgo, Dawsyn Chatman, Emmett Chatman, Elijah Duval, Everett Chatman.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Hypolite Louis Hidalgo and Hazel Virgie Landry Hidalgo; son, Nelson "Sonny" Hidalgo, Jr.; great grandchild, Draven Duval; brother, Russell Hidalgo.
