Maude Chachere Sandoz, 93, died Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at 2:36 PM. Born October 05, 1926 she was a native of Opelousas and resident of Houma, LA. A visitation will be held on Monday, November 18, 2019 from 9:00 AM until service time at The Cathedral of Saint Francis de Sales. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 AM at the church. Burial will follow at Saint Francis de Sales Cemetery #2. She is survived by her son, Robert Edward Sandoz; daughters, Adrienne S. Duhe, Lynn S. Roberts and Cindy S. Gilstrap and husband Derek; 10 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild. She is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Aloysius Sandoz; parents, Felix and Marie Meche Chachere; 2 sisters and 5 brothers. Maude received her Bachelors degree from USL and went on to teach Chemistry at the college level. She was a parishioner of Saint Francis de Sales Cathedral. Maude was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be deeply missed by all. The family greatly appreciates and thanks her loyal caregivers.
