Obituary for Matthew Bernard Rauch

Matthew Bernard Rauch, of Houma, Louisiana, passed away on Wednesday, September 15, at the age of 26.

Matthew is survived by his beloved twin sister, Kathryn Claire Rauch of Olathe, Kansas; his mother, Jenny Breaux Rauch, of Houma; and his grandmother, Nellie Louise Rauch, also of Houma; companion Alison Maldonado of Atlanta, Georgia. Left also to cherish Matthew’s memory are numerous cousins and also his aunts and uncles: Kathy (Stewart) Robison, of Huntsville, Alabama; William (Beth) Breaux of Lafayette; Carol (Blayne) Bergeron of Houma; Beverly (Carey) Vice of Houma; and Bernard (Wandra) Rauch of San Antonio, Texas.

He was preceded in death by uncles John Breaux, Sr., Randolph Rauch, Michael Rauch, and Timothy Rauch; grandparents Bernard Rauch, Sr., Albert Breaux, and Ruby Roberson Breaux; and his father, Jaime Sean Rauch.

A graduate of H.L. Bourgeois High School, Matthew worked as an electrician, traveling to install solar panels throughout the United States. Matthew found joy in spending time with friends and family, gaming, and sport shooting. He will be remembered for his infectious smile and willingness to help those in need.
He was a lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church of Bayou Blue.

Visitation for friends and family will be held on Monday, September 20, 2021 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at First Presbyterian Church in Bayou Blue and will continue on Tuesday, September 21 from 10:00 am until service time at the church. A Funeral Service will begin at 12:00 pm. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
