Obituary for Kenneth Joseph Hoffmann
Kenneth Joseph Hoffmann, 93, died Monday, November 26, 2018, at 12:40 PM. Born June 01, 1925, he was a native and resident of Thibodaux.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 30, 2018 from 8:00 AM until 12:45 PM at Ordoyne Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM at Saint Genevieve Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Saint Joseph Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Fay Toups Hoffmann; daughter, Marga H. Toloudis and husband Jimmie; grandson, Kenneth “Ken” Paul Toloudis; numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Irving Hoffmann, Sr. and Harriet Waguespack Hoffmann; in laws, Nathan and Josephine Toups; siblings, Winnie Hoffman, Irving Hoffmann, Jr. and wife Gertrude, Earline Hoffmann Morvant and husband Clarence, Leland Hoffmann, Sr. and wife Rose, Lionel Hoffmann.
Kenneth was a 1942 graduate of Thibodaux High School and a 1949 graduate of LSU. He was the Director of the Public Housing Authority and City of Thibodaux Finance Director. He was a proud World War II veteran of the United States Navy, a member and past commander of American Legion Ferdinand Post No. 11. He was a founding member and parishioner of Saint Genevieve Catholic Church.
The family would like to thank Dr. James Soignet, the nurses of the 2 nd floor at Thibodaux Regional, the staff of Heart of Hospice, and the wonderful caregivers of MMG Health Care, especially Millie George.
