Jessie "Toby" Paul Chenier, 87, died Thursday, December 29, 2022 at 7:38 AM. Born December 5, 1935, he was a native and resident of Vacherie, Louisiana.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 31, 2022 from 8:30 AM until service time at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 AM at the church with burial following in the church cemetery.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mary Ann Benoit Chenier; children, Jessica Chenier Knight (Vaughn), Jody Paul Chenier (Faye), Jeff Joseph Chenier (Sherie); grandchildren, Jude Chenier; Jill C. Kliebert (Tommy), Abby Knight Parker (Joshua), Kassidy Chenier, Hope Chenier; great grandchildren, Luke Chenier, Emily Kliebert, Carly Kliebert, Kaislee Chenier; siblings, Elton Chenier (Brenda), Lou Gary Chenier (Evelyn), Peggy Barrilleaux (Donald).

He is preceded in death by his parents, Gustave and Sinodie Falgoust Chenier; brothers, James and Fred Chenier.

He was a charter member of the Vacherie Deer Hunting Club.
