Obituary for Guy Paul Richard, Jr.
Guy Paul Richard, Jr., 80, died Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at 2:50 PM. Born July 30, 1942 he was a native of Thibodaux, Louisiana and resident of Schriever, Louisiana.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2022 from 8:30 AM until service time at St. Bridget Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 AM at the church with burial following in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Gladys Chiasson Richard; children, Darin Richard (Dawn Richard), Shelli Richard (Scott Richard), Guy Richard III (Melissa Palmer), Scott Richard (Tiffany Crawford), Blake Richard (Hannah Richard); grandchildren, Macy Comeaux, Leah Lirette, Derek Richard, Morgan Boudreaux, Colby Richard, Brayden Richard; great grandchildren, Olivia Boudreaux, Sarah Boudreaux, Kaiden Lirette, Jemma Richard, and Baby Comeaux on the way; siblings, Emily Richard Marse, Larry Richard.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Emily Aupied Richard; siblings, Joyce Richard Fields, Patsy Richard Yates and Janice Richard Topey.
Guy was a member of the St. Bridget Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed watching old cowboy westerns, fishing, watching Saints and LSU football and spending time with his family and friends.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Thibodaux Regional CCU Unit, the entire staff at AMG Specialty Hospital of Houma, Audubon Health Care, Chateau Terrebonne and St. Catherine's Hospice.
