Obituary for George David Toups
George David Toups, 67, died Sunday, November 13, 2022 at 6:25 am. Born August 24, 1955 he was a native of Thibodaux, Louisiana and resident of Montegut, Louisiana.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2022 from 9:30 AM until service time at Saint Joseph Co-Cathedral. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 AM at the church with burial following at Saint Joseph Cemetery.
He is survived by his children, Bambi Toups, Trent Toups (Emilie); grandchildren, Ally Brasette (Beau), Zaylee Stivers, Mylie Chiasson, Elise Toups, Micah Toups, Isaiah Toups, Charles Toups; siblings, Pamela Knapp, Myra Palmisano, Connie Dyer; his spouse of 14 years, Nancy Deroche and her children, Sasha Deroche and Dakota Deroche; first wife and mother of his children, Rebecca Faucheux Toups.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Eddie and Marie Adams Toups; grandchild, Zander Stivers; step mother, Edith Toups.
George was a member of the Protector #2 Fire Company, he was also a member of the Goldwing Chapter H (Bayou Bandits). He enjoyed fishing and carpentry.
