David Laurence Van Slyke, 78, died Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 1:10 AM. Born June 9, 1944 he was a native of Norwich, New York and resident of Thibodaux, Louisiana.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Debra Naquin Van Slyke; sons, James Allen Van Slyke (Dana) and David Van Slyke, Jr. (Jennifer); grandchildren, Conor Van Slyke, Ethan Van Slyke, Elyse Van Slyke, Autumn Van Slyke; brother, Dale Parker Van Slyke (Debbie); mother in law, Madeline Naquin; brothers and sisters in law, Nancy Armond, Sharon Guidroz, Judy Danna, Michael Naquin, Donna Alexander and various nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Franklin and Lettie Walden Van Slyke; siblings, Mary Bush, Linda Sanford, Larry Van Slyke.
He was a sports fanatic and huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Lakers and the L.A. Dodgers.
