Obituary for Dana Lea May

On March 5, 2021 God called one of His special angel, Dana Lea May, to Heaven. She is now reunited with her dad that she missed very much. Born January 21, 1970 she was a native of Houma, LA and resident of Katy, TX.

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Saint Francis de Sales Cemetery #2. COVID protocol: Masks and social distancing required for all those attending.

She is survived by her mother, Carol A. May; sister, Denice Melancon (Ben); brother, Darrell H. May, II; niece, Morgan Melancon.

She is preceded in death by her father, Darrell H. May; grandparents, Walter J. and Rinda May, Ernest and Marion Charpentier.

She loved playing cards, fishing, bowling, canvas cross stitch, going to casinos, watching old movies and listening to music (oldies). She enjoyed going to the parade at TARC and going to the animal shelter to play with cats.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Terrebonne Parish Animal Shelter, Shriner's Hospital or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Special thanks to Dr. Russell Henry and staff, Memorial Hermann Katy hospital, and sitters: Carol Hugh, Brianeisha Wilson, Trisha Thomas, Debra Pilot, Annette LeBlanc, Rachel Watson and all of her previous sitters over the years.

Her favorite color was RED, we invite all those attending to please try to wear something RED in her honor.
