Obituary for Cynthia Nelson Pellegrin
Cynthia Nelson Pellegrin, 77, died Friday, September 30, 2022 at 2:15 am. Born December 4, 1944 she was a native of Robert, Louisiana, longtime resident of Chauvin and current resident of Thibodaux, Louisiana.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 20, 2022 from 1:00 PM until service time at Ordoyne Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will begin at 3:00 PM at the funeral home.
She will be brought to her final resting place, Grates Cove, Newfoundland in July 2023
She is survived by her children, Rebecca Templeton (James), Marney Vitthal (Sanjay), Benjamin Pellegrin (Leslie), Courtney Howell (Terrence); grandchildren, Avery Theriot, Jacob Theriot (Tiffany), Gavin Montalto, Neal Vitthal, Reese Pellegrin, Hunter Pellegrin, Cooper Pellegrin, Phoenix Howell; siblings, Pamela Torrance, John Nelson, Hyacinth LeSaicherre, Ted Nelson.
She is preceded in death by her father, Gerald Milton; mother, Lula Mae Robertson Nelson; adopted father, Ted Nelson.
She was a graduate of Northwestern State University. She was a speech therapist and educator and retired from the Terrebonne Parish School Board. She loved traveling, especially to Grates Cove, Newfoundland, Canada, which will be her final resting place. She enjoyed iceberg and whale watching. She was a devoted, mother, grandmother and soon to be great grandmother.
