Chase James Benoit, 34, passed away on Monday, October 31, 2022 with his family and closest friends by his side. Born August 12, 1988, he was a native and resident of Thibodaux, Louisiana.

A visitation will be held on Monday, November 7th, 2022 from 9:00 am to 12:00pm at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church in Thibodaux. A fireman’s prayer will be held at 12:00 pm with mass following at 1:00pm. Following mass will be a precession escorting him to Ordoyne Funeral Home.

He is survived by his father, Mitchell Benoit (Melodia); mother, Penny Lambert Melancon (Camille); grandmother, Judy Sylvest; sisters, Kala, Sara, and Nina Benoit; nieces and nephews; aunts and uncles; several Godchildren; and numerous cousins and family members.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Andrew and Marguerite Benoit, and Joseph Sylvest; Aunts, Judith Benoit and Sandra Hebert Usey; and Uncles, Robert Dominique, and Terry Hebert Sr.

Chase was a devoted fireman who dedicated most of his life serving his community through several fire departments.

In Lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to South Thibodaux Volunteer Fire Company.
