Obituary for Bradford James Durocher

Bradford James Durocher, born November 30, 1951, passed away on Saturday, May 29,2021. He was a native of Choupic and resident of Thibodaux.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2021 from 9:00 AM until service time at Ordoyne Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with burial following at Saint Joseph Cemetery.

Bradford is survived by his 2 sons, Bradford “B.J.” Durocher, Jr. and fiancée Desiree Sinclair, Gabriel Durocher and wife Zina; grandsons, Tyler, Trey, David and Braydon Durocher; granddaughter, Leighanne Durocher; step grandchildren, Harley and Shane Cooley; Deryn Chiasson, Delani Urps, Harold “Bubba” Urps, Jr.; step great grandson, Kolton Trahan; brother, William Durocher and wife Pat; sisters, Elvie Duplantis, Ora Dempster and husband Dale; nephews, Will Durocher, Paul Duplantis, Drew Duplantis, Zack Dempster, Isaac Dempster; niece, Megan Durocher Clausen; and many great nephews and nieces. He is also survived by the mother of his sons, Mardel Davis.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Ruth M. Gros; father, William W. Durocher; brother, Joseph R. Durocher; maternal grandparents; Leonard J. and Marie Faucheaux Melancon; paternal grandparents, Augustin and Lydia Durocher.

Bradford was a U.S. Army veteran having served during the Vietnam Era. He was best known as a dedicated North Thibodaux Fire Company member for 54 years who worked countless hours selling raffle tickets for the Fireman’s Fair. He would walk the parade route every year selling tickets along the way. He was known as selling the most tickets for several years. He enjoyed family gatherings and playing cards with his family. He enjoyed holidays, being the first one to eat and the last to leave the table. He was a good hearted man, he enjoyed helping others in need. He will be missed by everyone but will live on in our hearts and memories.
