Obituary for Brad David Clement
Brad David Clement, 39, of Thibodaux, died peacefully at Thibodaux Regional Health System on January 22, 2021. He was born December 9, 1981, the son of Jerry Clement and Jane David Clement.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 1:30 PM at Saint Joseph Co-Cathedral.
Brad is survived by his father Jerry and his mother Jane; his paternal grandfather, CD Clement, Jr., his sister Laurie Pearce, brother-in-law, Charlie, his niece, Lucy and nephew, John David. Although Brad had no children of his own, he loved and treasured Lucy and John David as if they were his own. He absolutely lit up anytime one of them were near him.
He also leaves his maternal aunt Judy Carrier; cousins, Ron Carrier (husband Jeff Burrell) and Colette Carrier Lapeyre (husband Chris Lapeyre); second cousins Jean-Luc and Henri David Lapeyre.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Bradley David; maternal grandmother, Lena Percle David; paternal grandmother, Frances "Teeny" Clement; paternal uncle, Dennis Clement.
He attended St. Genevieve Catholic Elementary School from kindergarten to 7th grade, and then attended E.D. White Catholic High school where he was an active member of the national honor society, student council and campus ministry. Following his high school graduation in 2000, Brad studied nursing at Nicholls State University and graduated with honors in 2005.
For nearly ten years Brad served the New Orleans community as a psychiatric nurse at Charity hospital and Ochsner Medical Center. He was a gifted medical provider, and he found joy in serving his patients.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St Genevieve Catholic Elementary School, 807 Barbier Avenue, Thibodaux, LA 70301.
